feat #2 | canterbury trails | may 04, 24

The walk is a 90 mile pilgrimage from Southwark Cathedral to Canterbury Cathedral along the Beckett Way - the route that Thomas à Beckett took to and from London.

Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales is based on this route. In the book, a group of pilgrims travel together to visit the shrine of Thomas à Beckett in Canterbury and take part in a story-telling contest along the route.

Each day will be themed on a different story from the Canterbury Tales

The walk evokes the dwindling art of pilgrimage and story-telling and encourages participants to undertake a spiritual ascent from a state of wretchedness to a state of beatitude. For many that will not be found at the final destination but on the feat itself.
